One of my favorite vacations I have ever taken. It was my fiancé and my first solo getaway for my 24th birthday. The hot tub was perfect (some jets didn’t work but we did not mind that as half the time we didn’t even want the jets). The fire pit was amazing, we spent about 5 hours by the fire our last night. My fiancé said several times this might be our vacation spot for now on. We could not have had a better time. Only thing we wish was that we could’ve stayed longer.

My fiancé and I wanted to love this cabin but there just was too much wrong with it.
Upon entering he had a hard time removing the chain from the nail for the gate. He finally got that opened. It took us 3 times attempting to get up the driveway since there is so many holes. He had to put it in 4 wheel drive to get up. The fire pit is barely that. It's right on the driveway made of old concrete. There was random trash in and around it. The grilling/outdoor seating area was depressing. There is random boards and trash all around it. There's two propel tanks for the grill but they were empty. The grill is so gross. Dirty on the outside as well as inside (still had old burger chunks on it). Opening the side door is hard as it sticks. The cabin was pretty upon entering. We walked around and unpacked. There's no "real" hangers just old ones you'd get with the clothes you bought at stores. So only 7 of those. I checked upstairs and it was cute but not clean. I turned on the light and the dresser had gross sticky drops all over it. Looks like it hasn't been cleaned in so long. Back to the bedroom the pillows were completely flat. It felt like owners brought over their old pillows when they got new ones. The fan over the bed makes a constant ticking sound when turned on. The kitchen wasn't as clean as it appears. My fiancé was sitting at the island making a sandwich when he showed me old pieces of bacon. I opened the stove and it wasn't cleaned nor was the stove top. The tablecloth had crusted on egg and looked as though it hadn't been washed in a while.
The TV satellite worked the first night but we just couldn't get the DVD/sound bar to play sound correctly. It sounded so sped up and weird that we couldn't watch a movie. Day two the satellite lost signal and wouldn't turn on. We didn't mess with it. There's a rule they have where they fine $100 for the dish messing up. We didn't want to mess with it and get fined. They have a lot of fines for things. So no DVDs and no TV and the internet goes out when it rains too, so just sitting around. The wifi is super slow at times so don't expect to do much on your phone or laptop. Fiancé wanted to relax in the hot tub so we first looked at the book to see what it said. The cover collects water in the middle due to the fact it's broken. The hot tub wouldn't set beyond 99 degrees and then it kept going back to 96 degrees. The buttons are messed up and hard to press. Only a few jets work. He was in for 5 minutes before calling it quits. The outdoor patio by the hot tub only has 4 chairs and looks nothing like the photos.
This is the first review I've ever left in the negative. Such a disappointment. They definitely need to hire someone who's really going to clean and not just make beds and do the most basic things. They need to clean around the property because it looks trashed. The only saving grace was how isolated it felt despite there being a house to the side. We wouldn't stay here again.

Three dogs next door barking at all hours of the day & night as well as the roosters across the way crowing from sun up to sun down makes for less than a peaceful stay

This is a terrific cabin that looks just like the pictures, maybe even better, it’s that nice. The tasteful decor includes a lot of extras that made us feel like we were staying in the well-appointed guest cabin of a personal friend. The lighting was particularly good, in my experience many cabins don’t have enough light. It was easy to get to, my GPS took me right to it with no problem. The cabin was very clean, the internet, television, hot tub, heat, and everything else were all functioning as they should. I had to reschedule this trip, but the hostess responded promptly and was friendly, and professional as well. As nice as the rental is, please be aware that the short uphill gravel driveway has big holes that need to be navigated if you are in a regular car, but it’s not a problem if you pay attention. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Super cute cabin, I enjoyed my time there. The only thing is it seemed that nobody had been there in a while to make sure things worked. The lights outback wouldn't work so we couldn't use the hot tub, lots of bulbs blown in the house so it wasn't very bright in there. The driveway was hard to get up in a car. And the dogs across the street chased our car and scratched the front up really bad. unfortunately, that might keep us from going back.

The cabin was wonderful. Great amenities, spotless, and in a beautiful location. Close to Red River Gorge and Daniel Boone National Forest. I would definitely recommend staying there.
