We had my daughters 18th birthday at Black Bear Cabin. It was an amazing experience! The cabin was spotless, great view, loved the hot tub & sauna, perfect size for 10+ people (even though it was 2 bedrooms). Spacious living area, open kitchen and wrap around deck. Not to mention wonderful customer service. We will definitely stay again. - 10/16/2023

Above the Pines cabin is fabulous! We recently had a weekend stay with another couple at Above the Pines and loved it. This is a new cabin (2021) and is such a great place to stay. The cabin has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths and was perfect for the 4 of us. The kitchen and living room were very spacious and so pretty with vaulted ceilings and beams, new furniture and nicely decorated. There is a huge deck outside with a hot tub and lovely views of the area. There is a queen bed in 1 of the bedrooms and 2 queen beds in the other one and the beds were comfortable.
The staff is great and the office is located in the Daniel Boone Coffee Shop where you can pick up needed supplies and they also serve food, coffee and drinks there. If you are planning a trip to the gorge, I think you would be very happy with your stay at Above the Pines. More - 8/03/2022

Beautiful scenery, top of the line cabin My husband and I stayed in the S'more Fun in the Gorge Cabin with 3 other couples for a small group trip from our church. This cabin did not disappoint. There were private bedrooms for each of us all with a private bathroom. All of the bedrooms were nice so no "fighting" over who got the better room. The kitchen was well stocked with all of the cooking supplies we needed (pots/pans, plates/cups, blender). There was a large table so all 8 of us could sit around the table. We had some time to play the guitar and sing together and we were all able to sit on the deck together with several outdoor chairs available. Only one bedroom did not have its own deck but it was next to the front door with a lovely bench to sit on and enjoy nature. We saw deer walking around each morning. We wanted a place where we could all hang out together and that was possible on the upper and lower decks, in the living room and around the table as well as sitting on the sun porch. The hot tub was nice although the water was not as hot as we would have liked. There was plenty of parking. The directions to the cabin are detailed but lead you right here. Just read them carefully. Wifi worked. The cabin was clean and the staff was very kind for check-in and check-out. Our group wanted something that was not too far from Lexington and this place delivered. We spent time hiking in the Gorge and kayaked in the Gorge Underground. We would love to come back again next year! - 10/16/2020

What a lovely, magical place for a wedding. I even enjoyed the drive out there! I stayed with my sister and her H - we had a great time. Nice cabin. If we'd had more time - i.e. no wedding to attend - we'd have spent more time strolling about, maybe doing the zip line or hiking the ridge. As it was, it was still good. And the wedding was beautiful, the reception truly wonderful. I danced and danced...what fun! I'll be back as soon as I can manage. Great place to unwind - - 5/31/2015

The staff was very friendly when we were checking in. They had given us written directions to the cabin since reception can be spotty. The main office is located in the Daniel Boone Coffee shop. We stayed at the bear paw cabin. It was very clean, cute, and modern. The doors took some time to get used to because of how they lock. There is only enough room to park one car and to turn around you will have to do a 5 point turn. Over all, the cabin was very nice. Heads up: if you stay during the fall time and you hear a loud bang, it is probably just an acorn falling on the roof. - 2/16/2022

Returning customer We have rented with scenic cabin rentals several times. They are always clean and have amazing locations. Also, the Daniel Boone store has booze now where you pick up the key to go to your cabin. It is great. We love the red We will continue to rent with them - 3/21/2024

The cabins are clean, and furnished with taste, everything you could need while staying is stocked, and the staff is impeccable with their attention to details and care for their guests. Scenic Cabin Rentals saved our vacation! Thank you Scenic Cabin Rentals for saving our family vacation after VACASA.COM LEFT US HOMELESS (horrible company with absolutely no compassion)! We called Scenic Cabin Rentals after driving 9 hours to find out our rental thru Vacasa was not available and even though SCR had nothing immediately available, they bent over backwards to get a cabin ready for us so we didn't have to drive all the way back home! Thank you so much SCR, your compassion for us in this crazy world we live in was so TRULY APPRECIATED!!! And the cabin was lovely to boot! ❤ - 1/01/2021

We had a wonderful stay! As a caregiver I needed a break so my best friend and I ran away for 3 nights to refresh. The cabin was all we had hoped for, perfect for us with two separate bedrooms. It was clean and had everything we needed, and we LOVED sitting on the porch. It was a great location for the hikes we wanted and places to eat. Whippoorwill cabin is Great! My family and I gather for an early Christmas each year. This year we chose to do so at the Whippoorwill cabin. It could not have been better. We were fortunate to have great weather in December but the cabin itself was fantastic. Great setup for our family. New couches and fridge. Nothing seemed to be dated. The pool table was great for us. We really enjoyed the porch overlooking the pond and the fire pit for some singalongs. The roads in are a little rough, I would have felt uneasy in the snow but the cabin and area were perfect once we were there. Thanks to sceniccabins for a wonderful experience and a shoutout to the ladies in the office who were very nice and helpful. Good guest service. - 12/20/2020
