Absolutely beautiful, very clean, easy check in, check out. 10/10 would recommend!! Will definitely be back! We stayed in the Campfire Burning cabin and the view from the hot tub was phenomenal watching the sunrise. Can’t wait to check out the other cabins in the future 😍 - 1/19/2023

What an awesome stay in Bear Den cabin! Cabin was super clean and had everything need to cook a meal in the kitchen. Beds were comfy and the hot tub on the deck was wonderful. I would recommend Scenic Cabin Rentals to my friends and family. We truly enjoyed our visit to Kentucky and our stay in The Bear Den cabin. - 5/21/2023

Our cabin (Stone Hill) is Gorge-ous! There are caves and waterfalls in our backyard and a lake in the front yard. Perfectly secluded to be one with nature. Great campfire spot and a fabulous hot tub! The kitchen had everything we needed to make dinner each evening. The screened in porch is very enjoyable in the morning with coffee! My husband and I were very comfortable, along with our dog Aslan. This is one of the best cabins we have ever stayed in, and we have stayed in a lot of places! Love Love ❤️ Highly recommend!! - 6/16/2022

Lakeview Retreat Cabin We stayed the first weekend in January. We stayed with another family so 10 of us all together. We had a great time. The company can be a little hard to reach, however once we were able to speak to them they were wonderful to work with. The gas fireplace in this cabin is outstanding. Heated the living room quickly and the staircase. It also tends to heat the room with two twins and a queen bed. Our kids took over this room and loved it. It also has a balcony that looks out over the lake-which was beautiful. If the hot tub is more than a year old I would be shocked. Very clean and the area around it well maintained. It is so quiet out there ! We decided when we rent again that we would bring a telescope. When the clouds moved the stars were amazing! It snowed the day before our arrival and rained all day the next day, so we didn't get to use the firepit, but it looked very nice. Important things to know about this cabin: 1) The basement in winter is cold ( this is where the pool table and the extra fold out bed are) 2) There are no window coverings in the basement. We were not comfortable having the kids sleep down there . 3) The bedrooms do not have Tv's - this was not an issue for us but it may be for some. 4) As you would when staying at any cabin, bring paper towels, trash bags, and detergent for the dishwasher and washing machine. There are a few dishwasher tabs provided and dish washing liquid. 5) Parking is on a step incline. Make sure you have a full tank of gas before parking there- we learned the hard way. Our van wouldn't start and the cell reception outside of the home is terrible-thus making calling road side assistance nearly impossible. The rental company was very helpful during this stressful situation. 6) put your phone on the cabin wi-fi. Password is listed inside the cabin and the reception much improved, but only inside as expected. 7) A handbook about the cabin and the area is in the living room. It states that they do have mice issues from time to time. While we didn't see any mice, we did see evidence in the cabinets. It would be nice if they left some type of cleaner that would be safe for the cabinetry there, in the cabin. We washed every dish prior to using. - 1/01/2022

We absolutely loved everything about Back to Nature. We stayed the weekend of March 11-13 and received 5 1/2 inches of snow friday night. We enjoyed hiking in the winter wonderland and coming back to the cabin hot tub and fireplace. Thanks for an unforgettable girls weekend. We are coming back to stay again in Nov. - 4/16/2022

Wonderful, peaceful Clean and peaceful. My boys playing in the river and chilling in the hammock brought them back together. The added bonus of NO cell service made it extra enjoyable. I would recommend the Restful River to anyone looking to have a vacation of rest and decompression. - 6/01/2023

We stayed in Black Bear Cabin over the weekend. Based on some of the Airbnb reviews we were a little hesitant, but it ended up being a great cabin and an all around great stay! Check in and out were smooth and easy! I really felt like the listing photos undersold the cabin a bit, as it was definitely larger in person than the photos showed. The tv had also been updated since the listing photos which was a nice surprise. The cabin was clean, with lots of toilet paper and towels and clean linens. The hot tub and sauna were both wonderful and clean as well! Overall I felt like the cabin was a great value for the price. The communication between staff was very helpful when we were worried about potentially checking in late, and everything went really smoothly. Obviously it’s a cabin and not a 5 star hotel, so not everything is brand spanking new, but everything was clean and functional with several extra items stocked in case you had forgotten your own. Above the Pines cabin is fabulous! We recently had a weekend stay with another couple at Above the Pines and loved it. This is a new cabin (2021) and is such a great place to stay. The cabin has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths and was perfect for the 4 of us. The kitchen and living room were very spacious and so pretty with vaulted ceilings and beams, new furniture and nicely decorated. There is a huge deck outside with a hot tub and lovely views of the area. There is a queen bed in 1 of the bedrooms and 2 queen beds in the other one and the beds were comfortable.
The staff is great and the office is located in the Daniel Boone Coffee Shop where you can pick up needed supplies and they also serve food, coffee and drinks there. If you are planning a trip to the gorge, I think you would be very happy with your stay at Above the Pines. More - 8/03/2022

Beautiful scenery, top of the line cabin My husband and I stayed in the S'more Fun in the Gorge Cabin with 3 other couples for a small group trip from our church. This cabin did not disappoint. There were private bedrooms for each of us all with a private bathroom. All of the bedrooms were nice so no "fighting" over who got the better room. The kitchen was well stocked with all of the cooking supplies we needed (pots/pans, plates/cups, blender). There was a large table so all 8 of us could sit around the table. We had some time to play the guitar and sing together and we were all able to sit on the deck together with several outdoor chairs available. Only one bedroom did not have its own deck but it was next to the front door with a lovely bench to sit on and enjoy nature. We saw deer walking around each morning. We wanted a place where we could all hang out together and that was possible on the upper and lower decks, in the living room and around the table as well as sitting on the sun porch. The hot tub was nice although the water was not as hot as we would have liked. There was plenty of parking. The directions to the cabin are detailed but lead you right here. Just read them carefully. Wifi worked. The cabin was clean and the staff was very kind for check-in and check-out. Our group wanted something that was not too far from Lexington and this place delivered. We spent time hiking in the Gorge and kayaked in the Gorge Underground. We would love to come back again next year! - 10/16/2020
