This is a review of The Grizzly by Eric Drake. We had an awesome time. The cabin was beautiful and had everything we needed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was secluded yet close enough to everything we wanted. Privacy and social if you wanted. The hot tub was brand new and very nice. It was clean and we'll taken care of. We definitely recommend it and will be back later this year - 6/16/2022

Our family of 4 along with 3 other families stayed in the S’more fun in the gorge cabin in December. There were 7 adults and 9 young kids. Each couple had their own bedroom with attached private bath. This was a real luxury. Our group has stayed at several cabins together over the years and we’ve never all had our own bathrooms. There was another room with 2 sets of bunk beds and space for an air mattress where 8 of the kids slept. There is plenty of open space so we never felt cramped. The kitchen was well stocked and there is a large kitchen table that will fit 10 people at a time. The cabin was very clean and the staff was really friendly. Wonderful, peaceful Clean and peaceful. My boys playing in the river and chilling in the hammock brought them back together. The added bonus of NO cell service made it extra enjoyable. I would recommend the Restful River to anyone looking to have a vacation of rest and decompression. - 6/07/2023

Great stay in Lazy Days My friend and I stayed at the Lazy Days Cabin for the month of April. We found the cabin through Scenic Cabin Rentals located in Slade, KY.
The cabin was fantastic!!! It is centrally located inside of Cliffview Resort. The resort features it's own hiking trails, mountain fishing ponds, and a very scenic overlook. We would walk around the resort after dinner almost every night. The stars are beautiful there.
The cabin was perfect for us and our 2 children. The children stayed in the open loft upstairs and we each had our own bedrooms with a queen size bed. This made monitoring them very easy. We enjoyed the old airplane theme that was throughout the cabin. The children liked learning about the old planes. There is a nice hot tub, firepit, and grill off of the large deck in the back. We spent a lot of time playing games outside and had several fires. They will deliver wood to you! The cabin was very tidy and well kept. The kitchen was stocked with cookware, dishes and utensils we needed to cook and bake. It feels like a lot of love and attention went into this cabin and made us feel like we were at home.
We look forward to coming every year! If you are visiting the area, we highly recommend this cabin-just not in April when we want to stay! - 7/01/2020

Heaven's Gait This was our first time using Scenic Cabins and we will use them again. We very much enjoyed our secluded stay. If you want rest and relaxation I highly recommend this cabin. Beds aren't that comfy but nothing you can't get past. We are very picky when it comes to cleanliness and I can definitely say this place was clean and comfortable. Smelled clean when we walked in. The cabins are clean, and furnished with taste, everything you could need while staying is stocked, and the staff is impeccable with their attention to details and care for their guests. I surprised my husband with a weekend getaway at the Peaceful Getaway Cabin. We absolutely loved it. Very clean and spacious cabin. The cabin had everything we needed and more.. We really enjoyed using the hot tub and fire pit too. We loved it so much we are going back for 5 days in December ❤💚 This cabin is perfectly named, it was a VERY Peaceful Getaway for us. - 10/24/2021

Lakeview Retreat Cabin We stayed the first weekend in January. We stayed with another family so 10 of us all together. We had a great time. The company can be a little hard to reach, however once we were able to speak to them they were wonderful to work with. The gas fireplace in this cabin is outstanding. Heated the living room quickly and the staircase. It also tends to heat the room with two twins and a queen bed. Our kids took over this room and loved it. It also has a balcony that looks out over the lake-which was beautiful. If the hot tub is more than a year old I would be shocked. Very clean and the area around it well maintained. It is so quiet out there ! We decided when we rent again that we would bring a telescope. When the clouds moved the stars were amazing! It snowed the day before our arrival and rained all day the next day, so we didn't get to use the firepit, but it looked very nice. Important things to know about this cabin: 1) The basement in winter is cold ( this is where the pool table and the extra fold out bed are) 2) There are no window coverings in the basement. We were not comfortable having the kids sleep down there . 3) The bedrooms do not have Tv's - this was not an issue for us but it may be for some. 4) As you would when staying at any cabin, bring paper towels, trash bags, and detergent for the dishwasher and washing machine. There are a few dishwasher tabs provided and dish washing liquid. 5) Parking is on a step incline. Make sure you have a full tank of gas before parking there- we learned the hard way. Our van wouldn't start and the cell reception outside of the home is terrible-thus making calling road side assistance nearly impossible. The rental company was very helpful during this stressful situation. 6) put your phone on the cabin wi-fi. Password is listed inside the cabin and the reception much improved, but only inside as expected. 7) A handbook about the cabin and the area is in the living room. It states that they do have mice issues from time to time. While we didn't see any mice, we did see evidence in the cabinets. It would be nice if they left some type of cleaner that would be safe for the cabinetry there, in the cabin. We washed every dish prior to using. - 1/01/2022

What a lovely, magical place for a wedding. I even enjoyed the drive out there! I stayed with my sister and her H - we had a great time. Nice cabin. If we'd had more time - i.e. no wedding to attend - we'd have spent more time strolling about, maybe doing the zip line or hiking the ridge. As it was, it was still good. And the wedding was beautiful, the reception truly wonderful. I danced and danced...what fun! I'll be back as soon as I can manage. Great place to unwind - - 5/31/2015

Above the Pines cabin is fabulous! We recently had a weekend stay with another couple at Above the Pines and loved it. This is a new cabin (2021) and is such a great place to stay. The cabin has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths and was perfect for the 4 of us. The kitchen and living room were very spacious and so pretty with vaulted ceilings and beams, new furniture and nicely decorated. There is a huge deck outside with a hot tub and lovely views of the area. There is a queen bed in 1 of the bedrooms and 2 queen beds in the other one and the beds were comfortable.
The staff is great and the office is located in the Daniel Boone Coffee Shop where you can pick up needed supplies and they also serve food, coffee and drinks there. If you are planning a trip to the gorge, I think you would be very happy with your stay at Above the Pines. - 7/01/2022

The Enchanted Forest cabin was a perfect place to stay for a climbing trip. Its proximity to Miguel's and Muir Valley was particularly nice. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and came with plenty of dishes and cookware to allow for homemade meals. I would definitely stay here again. - 2/16/2022
