Authentic 2 story log cabin motel with 10 private rooms. Six rooms have 2 full size beds, four rooms have a single queen bed.

Not sure where to stay on your next visit to Red River Gorge, Kentucky? We've got the answer for you at the Black Bear Lodge! Just couple minutes from Natural Bridge State Park and all the areas activities and you don't need to spend lots of dollars on a cabin. Cabins are fantastic but for that last minute trip or if you plan on being gone most of the time a nice, clean motel room may be the answer. Our motel rooms are cutely decorated with mountain theme décor and all come with a private bath with shower/tub, satellite tv, mini fridge, coffee pot. All our guests get a free cup of coffee at our full service coffee shop located right next door in the Daniel Boone Coffee Shoppe and Deli at check out. We serve breakfast sandwiches, cappuccino's, espresso, hot chocolate and more.

Cancellations must be made 3 days prior to arrival for refund.
Holiday & event weekend rentals may not be refundable unless able to re-rent. Contact us if unsure of event weekend.

Housekeeping Services Are Provided Before And After Stays of 2 days or less. For longer stays, housekeeping comes in on the third day. This allows us to keep are room rates low and helps keeps us ecologically friendly.

We apologize NO Wi-Fi fi is available at the motel, but you may use it at our coffee shop located right next door.

For groups needing more sleeping capacity consider our 2 cabins located in same vicinity as Black Bear Lodge, within easy walking distance. Our Bear Cub cabin and Grizzly cabins sleep up to 10 more people. Visit them on this site under "small cabins". Grizzly cabin has a pool table and hot tub for nice, leisure activities for the group.

Located on Rt. 11, Black Bear Lodge is located just a couple minutes from the Natural Bridge State Park and Red River Gorge Area. Schedule your next family reunion here! Picnic shelter planned for Fall 2015. Sorry, All Rooms Are Non Smoking and Pets Are Not Allowed In rooms. Decks are available for our guests who smoke.

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations or changes to reservations must be made by the person listed on the reservation. Cancellations must be made at least 3 weeks prior to your arrival date and a $50 cancellation fee is applied. If a reservation is canceled within 3 weeks of arrival, money received will be forfeited unless cabin is re-rented for the same number of nights. You may choose to reschedule your visit one time if cancellation is made at least 14 days prior to arrival for small cabin or 21 days if large cabin. Scenic Cabin Rentals is not responsible for inclement weather, illness, someone in your party “backing out”, etc

Deposit Policy

A credit card is required to be on hold in case of damage. Renters paying by credit card may choose to pay the full amount at the time of reservation or pay half at the time of reservation and the remaining half three weeks prior to their trip. Online bookings require full credit card payment upfront.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, money orders, and checks. Renters wishing to pay by check may do so by submitting their check at least three weeks prior to the arrival date. Please note that for some properties, a $350.00 damage deposit is required. This deposit is fully refundable provided no damages occur during the stay.

We reserve the right to charge the credit card on file for damages, “illegal or non-disclosed” pets, or non-compliance with the trash policy. If a refund of the damage deposit to the credit card declines for any reason, we reserve the right to issue the refund via check instead.

We value your privacy. We do not share any credit card information with other customers or third parties, and all credit card information is kept secure and private.
