An exciting new addition to the rental program, this cabin continues to be improved and updated by the new cabin owners! Rental Property Accessed via a private driveway, the cabin is truly off on its own. From the lofted back deck views stretch out to either side down the valley below. Perched above Mountain Parkway, some highway noise is inevitable, but quickly fades into the background once you settle into the comforts of the cabin. A covered front porch also offers a relaxing place for a coffee in a rocking chair or porch swing. The New Hot Tub has room for everyone and has one of the best panoramic sunset views we have to offer.
Inside, the cabin is full of personal touches and artwork from the cabin owners. With a downstairs private bedroom hosting two full beds, as well as an upstairs loft with a queen bed, this is a great option for families or groups of friends looking to enjoy the nearby Red River Gorge. Curl up in front of the fireplace with a book, or choose a DVD or board game from the resident collection. Head up to the loft for a game of foosball, where floor-to-ceiling windows overlook the same spectacular views. Cabin now has Wi-Fi and a Smart TV. Log in with your Netflix, Hulu, etc. and enjoy. Please make sure to log out when departing.
Located just a few miles from Slade, you're a short drive from the best hiking, climbing, dining, and local attractions (zip-lining, cave exploring, etc.) at the Red. The cabin is accessed via a gravel road, part of which climbs a steep hill.
Pets are welcome with an additional fee.
No smoking allowed.

Cancellation Policy
All cancellations or changes to reservations must be made by the person listed on the reservation. Cancellations must be made at least 3 weeks prior to your arrival date and a $50 cancellation fee is applied. If a reservation is canceled within 3 weeks of arrival, money received will be forfeited unless cabin is re-rented for the same number of nights. You may choose to reschedule your visit one time if cancellation is made at least 14 days prior to arrival for small cabin or 21 days if large cabin. Scenic Cabin Rentals is not responsible for inclement weather, illness, someone in your party “backing out”, etc
Deposit Policy
A credit card is required to be on hold in case of damage. Renters paying by credit card may pay the full amount at time of reservation or pay half on card at time of reservation and half 3 weeks prior to trip. Online bookings require full credit card payment upfront. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, money orders and checks. Renters wishing to pay by check may do so by submitting check 3 weeks prior to arrival date. We reserve the right to require a credit card to hold the cabin, to cover damages, or to charge for “illegal or non-disclosed” pets or for non-compliance of trash policy. People paying by check without a credit card or using pre-paid credit card may pay the extra $350 upfront and this money will be returned once cabin has been inspected. We do not share any credit information with any customers or third parties, all credit card information is kept private.

We really enjoyed our stay at Two Dog Lodge! Driving up to the cabin was a little easier given we had a 4WD SUV, but it isn't necessarily required. View was excellent at the lodge, and we had what we needed. We were also pleasantly surprised that they added internet at the cabin. The cabin is well located for enjoying all Red River Gorge has to offer. Highly recommend, would love to come back.

We had a great time with our two dogs! The location was easy to get to and close to lots of hiking. We would recommend a 4WD vehicle, but easily accessible with one! If you plan to cook, make sure to bring essentials. We will definitely be back!

The place was perfect! You could hear the highway but it was noted in the listing that, that was going to happen. Very convenient location to hiking trails. The hot tub was great!

We enjoyed our stay at the two dog lodge!! Check in was a breeze. The cabin was very clean and nicely updated. We made it in our all wheel drive car with no problems! Only issue at all would be a better way to turn around. The gravel rd is a dead end and you would need a truck/suv to back down into the drive that goes down to the cabin. My husband tried and it bottomed out in my car! We figured it out, we just had to do the forward reverse thing a few times to get turned around. Maybe making a place to turn around up top would be nice! That would be my only suggestion! The cabin had everything we needed. We only stayed two nights so we had enough TP, if you stay longer just bring extra, and no paper towels! I love their picture with suggestions of trails and the book with all the info was very helpful! My husband and 17 year old daughter and myself all loved it and would def go back! The new hot tub was also a plus!!
Beautiful and had everything we needed even though it was up on a cliff. Had some anxiety as the road to the cabin was a narrow gravel road going up the mountain but after some practice it got easier.
You Definitely Need a 4 wheel Drive. Do not attempt to find after dark too dangerous as there is a Clift drop off if you can not make the climb and have to back down the hill. It suggestsa 4 wheel but should say A Necessity Necessity.
A very scenic stay. The check in location vs. the home is a decent drive so plan accordingly in shopping/traveling. The road could be difficult in some vehicles. A truck/SUV would certainly be ideal. We had T-Mobile and good cell phone reception since there wasn’t Wi-Fi.
Our family of five and dog loved the gorge! The cabin was perfect for us. It is located up in a mountain and I loved that! We got some rain on the tin roof covered porch one evening that was so relaxing after a long day of hiking. The cabin is as described in the listing with no complaints from our family!
Absolutely the cutest and friendliest Airbnb I’ve been to. The owners are super climber friendly.

The Two Dog Lodge was the perfect stay for our family during our climbing trip to RRG. Plenty of space, privacy, and activities (foosball table, fire pit, back deck with lights.) Thank you for a great stay in the mountains!
